Diane Kruger carried off a long braided hairstyle, a Jason Wu clutch, and completed her look with blush satin Salvatore Ferragamo Double Platform Pumps.

Apart from the auction, which raised raised over $1 million, the event also included a Runway to Green fashion show, worked by models like Jessica Stam, Coco Rocha, and Karolina Kurkova, and a performance by Nicki Minaj. Several fashion designers like Michael Kors, Jason Wu, Alexander Wang, and Rachel Roy, were at the event and they pledged to include more green practices in making their clothes. Jason Wu was particularly interested in making green improvements in the dyeing process for clothes. "The information I want for myself from this is: What dyes should we use? What does 'naturally dyed' mean? Is it better for the environment? If it's using thousands of insects that are part of the ecosystem to create the dyes, is that better? I really don't know." Zooey Deschanel colorful

Cute Zooey Deschanel in a scene from her upcoming movie Your Highness, a medieval fantasy comedy with Danny McBride, James Franco, and Natalie Portman. "I had so many amazing costumes in the movie," Zooey tells Lucky magazine. "They weren't things I would normally wear. They were basically medieval gowns. It was really fun dressing up like I was going to a Renaissance fair for three months." Deschanel is wearing colorful and feminine clothes in the April 2011 issue of Lucky:

Zooey Deschanel combines two dresses from the Charles Anastase Spring 2011 collection: a sheer cotton-flower tulle dress over a blue voile dress. Talking to the magazine about the clothes she likes wearing and her style: "I would say girly, flirtatious, colorful....Feminine, maybe, and soft. But yeah, definitely colorful." Zooey also picked some cute spring stuff for the magazine like: "Ferragamo shoes are so ladylike and pretty. When I wear them I feel grown-up and elegant in the best way."

'Quirky' is a word often used with Zooey Deschanel but she doesn't like it's connotations: "Quirky is like a nice way of saying weird." But I disagree. No one uses the word 'weird' for Zooey Deschanel! For most of us quirky translates to off-beat, whimsical, unconventional, and it goes well with Zooey's looks, style, career path, and some of her movie roles. Picking up a random tweet from Deschanel's Twitter: "I had too much to do today. I am going to have to schedule in more goofing off, day dreaming, and general nonsense in the future." Now if that ain't quirky, I dunno what is!

Amanda Seyfried is also the new face of Japanese beauty line Cle de Peau Beaute but told Contact Music that as a young girl she was insecure about her looks: "I didn't like my body. I really looked in the mirror and thought I was ugly because I didn't look like a normal girl. I wanted braces, stick-straight hair and a tan. But I wouldn't go to the tanning booth and I had trouble getting up early enough to be able to straighten my hair. It would take forever so my arms would hurt." Read More......

Vanessa Hudgens transitions

Vanessa Hudgens, in a long-sleeved animal print dress and fishnet tights by Hue, shows off her new butterfly tattoo on Thursday at MTV's "The Seven" while promoting her new movie, Beastly. Adapted from a young adult novel, the movie is set in high school, with Vanessa Hudgens' soul love helping in the physical transition of cursed-by-a-witch Alex Pettyfer; back to his hot British model looks! Vanessa told the Boston Herald that the message in Beastly resonated with her "especially in Hollywood, it's extremely hard because it's so driven by looks."

And talking about looks, Vanessa has got her hair cut as she transitions into a more grown-up and chic style. Hudgens told USA Today: "Long hair is very easy to hide behind. Going out on the street, I can put my hair in front of my face and duck around because I'm really small (5-foot-3). I cut off about a foot of my hair, so it's harder now. With two movies coming out this month, I want to give people the opportunity to truly see me differently. Now I have a new sense of confidence. I don't have a mane to hide behind." Vanessa was in New York admiring all the pretty clothes at New York Fashion Week; while attending the Marc Jacobs show Vanessa gushed: "I am so excited! This is my first sit-down fashion show ever. I've officially arrived."

Left, Vanessa Hudgens arrives to the taping of the "Late Show with David Letterman" in New York City on March 2. She told Dave that the tattoo was inspired by a moment where a butterfly landed on her mother's stomach a week before she was born, and by her name, which is a Latin derivative of the word 'butterfly'. Vanessa was wearing a fuchsia Zac Posen dress, with the same Hue fishnets, and Stella McCartney sandals. Right, Vanessa Hudgens attends the LA premiere of Beastly held at Pacific Theaters at the Grove on February 24, 2011, dressed in a purple graphic printed gown by Julien Macdonald, and blue suede peep toe heels by Giuseppe Zanotti.

Vanessa Hudgens rocks with High School Musical pal Ashley Tisdale at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards viewing party in West Hollywood on Feb 27, 2011. Vanessa is wearing a figure-hugging Marchesa strapless silver embellished mini dress with Sergio Rossi sandals. Although she is concentrating more on her acting and less on her singing career, Vanessa Hudgens told USA Today: "I love musicals, and I'm always singing. I'm open to doing Glee. But would I go back to High School Musical? I don't know."

Towards the end of the month Vanessa transitions into an action star with the epic action adventure Sucker Punch. Hudgens got to shoot real guns and underwent grueling fitness training. She tells the Boston Herald: "It was the most intense physical training I've ever had in my life. Three hours of martial arts and a break — and I'd pass out. Then wake up with a Navy SEAL for more. The first day I was carrying 135 pounds — and I'd pass out again. Then Tuesdays and Thursdays I'd be on sound stages shooting the guns. I was blown away by the guns I had to shoot." Music and dance are not completely out of the picture in Sucker Punch — Vanessa says: "I do a belly dance as well. It's very fun. It's very Moroccan themed and the costumes are just bedazzled. It's a lot of fun."
