Kate William Harry Philippa

Second in line to the British throne, Prince William with his bride Princess Kate; the royal couple shall now be called the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Behind them are William's younger brother, and best man Harry, and Kate's sister Philippa Middleton, who was maid-of-honor. Kate Middleton and Prince William wed on April 29th in a ceremony at Westminster Abbey with 1,900 guests including international royalty, diplomats, celebrities, socialites and government officials attending.

Kate is wearing an Alexander McQueen gown designed by Sarah Burton, with its pretty lace appliqué bodice and sleeves, and the ivory silk tulle on the long train. She also wore matching Alexander McQueen shoes, hand crafted from ivory duchesse satin and embroidered in lace. Kate's long hair was in a demi-chignon style crowned by a 1936 Cartier ‘halo’ tiara, gifted to her by her grandmother-in-law, and neatly matching Kate's Robinson Pelham diamond earrings gifted to her by her parents. The royal bride was also wearing her sapphire engagement ring - formerly worn by Willaim's mother Diana. William looked dashing in the uniform of the Irish Guards, while bad boy Harry is in the uniform of the Household Cavalry. Alexis Bledel longsleeve dress

Cute Alexis Bledel in a maroon longsleeve dress at Ford's Theatre in Washington DC for The American Film Company's premiere of her new movie, The Conspirator, on April 10 2011. Alexis carried a Cecelia natural python clutch and was wearing Alejandro Ingelmo gold strap peep toe pumps. The longsleeve dress is from designer Stella McCartney's Pre-Fall 2011 collection. Directed by legendary actor Robert Redford, The Conspirator is based on the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. Robin Wright plays Mary Surratt, one of the 'conspirators' to the assassination, who was tried and convicted, and became the first woman to be hanged by the United States federal government.

Bledel plays the role of Sarah Weston, wife of the lawyer who defends Suratt in court, and gets to wear period clothes: "the art department had original photographs and they basically re-created shots in the film." Alexis, who at 29 still looks like a sweet young girl, will next play a teen assassin in Violet & Daisy. Taken aback at being offered a teenager's role, Bledel remarked, "It’s bizarre. In school, most of the girls I hung out with were very uptight about kissing boys, so that shaped my attitude towards sex in a negative way.
