Maggie Q tight dresses long legs

Maggie Q as the sexy Nikita in the CW show of the same name. The show is based on the 1990 French thriller La Femme Nikita, but not on the American show of the same name which aired in the late '90s and was a spin-off from the movie. Maggie Q is a CIA agent with martial arts expertise, wearing tight dresses and shooting real guns, but with fake ammunition: "We shoot blanks. You get the same recoil as you do on a real shot. It's all very loud and real."

In the interview, Hawaii-born Maggie, who is of mixed Vietnamese and Polish-American heritage, talked of starting her modeling and acting career in Hong Kong: "When I went to Asia I had only 20 dollars. I had to sleep on the floor in a friend's house, because I had nowhere to live."

Maggie Q is an animal lover, a shelter advocate since she was a child, and lives with three rescue dogs in her LA home: a shepherd mix Cesar, a female shepherd mix Lady from Hong Kong, and Pedro, a Chihuahua from Taiwan. "At one point I had eight dogs, and they were all rescues. Some, I was fostering. Four of them stayed with me. I like big problem dogs and I like to fix them, or try. I don't like to give up on dogs. We should all get a fair chance," Q told USA Today. While working in Asia, Maggie Q became a spokesperson for PETA, posing in the nude, with red chilly peppers and lettuce leafs, for their veggie ads. On one occasion, when her stylists asked her to wear fur-lined boots to an event, Maggie Q said: "I'm not asking for rose petals at my feet or a long red carpet, I'm just asking you not to put a dead animal on my body."

Maggie Q was a runner and a swimmer as a youngster, and she gained experience in martial arts while working in Asian films. Maggie also turned vegetarian a decade ago and calls it one her most rewarding decisions: "I feel better, I have more energy on and off the set, and I have the satisfaction of knowing that I'm doing something to help stop animal suffering." Her show Nikita isn't just about the action and spy intrigues; new characters and some romance will be introduced to draw in more young female viewers. "The CW is a very fashion-oriented network and they like their stars to look a certain way. I like that, but at the same time, I need Nikita to be toned down a bit," said Maggie Q, about all those slinky tight dresses.



"Girls look sexy in bikinis, it's fine and that whole thing," Maggie Q told the Calgary Sun, referring to a Nikita episode that required her to wear a red bikini. "But I was fighting for a one-piece. I was like, 'Let's be classy, it'll be cool.'" Despite her sporty background and action star reputation Maggie Q told the Star Telegram that she was nothing like a tomboy in her teen years: "Actually, my memories of growing up are more of playing with dolls and wearing pretty clothes and doing other girly things."

Lucy Hale personality

Lucy Hale in a promotional photo for the new season of Pretty Little Liars. The 21-year old actress says that her personality resembles that of her character Aria Montgomery on the show, which returns to ABC Family on January 3 with an episode titled 'Moments Later'. Lucy told Savvy magazine: "It's a fun show with great material. Even if I weren't on it, I would watch it and be addicted to it. The drama is exciting and so are the love stories, and we have such an amazing time with the clothes!"

In the November 2010 issue of Savvy magazine, Lucy talked of her favorite designers: "I like Mark Jacobs a lot. Alica and Olivia have cute dresses, and I love Steve Madden for shoes." But her favorite places to go shopping for clothes: "Urban Outfitters and Target too!" And her favorite color in clothes: "Turquoise fits my personality. It seems like a happy color for the most part, and I'm pretty happy-go-lucky!"

Miley Cyrus all pretty and ladylike at the 2010 MTV European Music Awards, held at La Caja Magica in Madrid, Spain, on November 7. Miley went backless in a Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2010 haltered tiered dress with delicate cascading ruffles, black waistband, and bow detail.



Fashionable Eva Longoria Parker hosted the 2010 MTV EMAs, and wore several dresses through the evening, like this Georges Hobeika Spring 2010 Couture dress, paired with Brian Atwood pumps on the red carpet. Black Swan premieres and Oscar buzz

Talented actresses Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman in a scene from their movie Black Swan. Touted as a psychological thriller in which the two pretty girls play ballerinas with a dark relationship, Black Swan will only hit theaters next year in February, preceded by a limited release this December, but it is already generating Oscar buzz at film festival premieres.

Natalie Portman's fit body is suited for the role of a ballerina, since she is 5'3" tall and has trained in dance as a child. "Black Swan required an incredible discipline and focus. It was an extreme, regimented way of living," she recalls.

Despite her obvious talent, Natalie Portman has never won an Oscar, and this dark role may be her ticket to the exclusive club of Oscar winners. Oscar buzz is also generating around the movie itself, as well as the direction by Darren Aronosky. The relationship between the main female characters has some sexual overtones. "I think people are hoping it's two girls making out and pillow fighting. It's not smut," Mila Kunis cautions. "It is slightly uncomfortable to have to be intimate with a good friend. The scene's important for the character, but we went in going, 'This is going to be a little different,' yeah."

Meagan Tandy beauty

Attractive Meagan Tandy at the premiere of her new movie Unstoppable at Regency Village Theater on October 26, 2010 in Westwood, California. The movie opens November 12 and Meagan Tandy plays Denzel Washington's daughter.



Meagan Tandy has done commercials and acted in TV shows like 90210, CSI: NY, Accidentally on Purpose, 10 Things I hate About You, and TNT’s hit show Dark Blue. But she is known for being a beauty pageant contestant and says, "Being in a pageant has helped my overall growth as a person. Pageants teach you good communication skills, interview skills, and good life skills."

The 25-year old grew up in Fontana, California, and was a cheerleader at Etiwanda High School, co-captain of the pep squad in her junior year and pep commissioner her senior year. After graduating in 2003, Meagan Tandy went straight into beauty pageants, earning the title of Miss California Teen at the National American Miss California pageant at Garden Grove in 2004. Meagan won the 2007 Miss California crown in 2007 with her second attempt, becoming the first African American to succeed another African American in the pageant.

In that pageant Tandy finished third runner-up. Since then Meagan has been supporting the Miss California pageant, and was drawn into the controversy surrounding last year's contestant Carrie Prejean. In her autobiography Prejean wrote, "One former Miss California, Meagan Tandy, was not only a huge help when I needed advice, she was also bluntly honest in her assessment of Keith (the director of the Miss California USA pageant)." But Tandy brushed off the insinuation: "For the record, I believe in the Miss California USA Pageant and Miss Universe Organization, Keith Lewis and I have a good working relationship and I have no problems with him, in fact I will make an appearance on the Miss California USA Pageant Telecast this November."

Even pretty girls have beauty issues, and for Meagan Tandy it was acne. In 2008 she took the SensiClear 28-day Model Challenge for models with acne, issued by The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency. Meagan was one of the four finalists judged to have the most improved skin and a chance to become the face of SensiClear for 2008. "Being a beauty queen, your skin has to be clear. I basically had everything together but my face. You work so hard to get this title, then you have to hear that you can't go out because your skin looks bad."
