Leighton Meester in Paris

The new season of Gossip Girl premieres Monday, September 13, and the first two episodes will take place in Paris. Leighton Meester was in Europe the past few months filming for Gossip Girl and her new movie Monte Carlo.

According to French site Grazia, the filming was done at a French University called La Sorbonne which is located in the Latin District Quarter of Paris. As a child model Leighton Meester was advised to not stay too long under the sun. Leighton told Glamour UK "I never knew that I was tanned. I started using sunscreen. Good advice." Missy Peregrym Rookie Blue

Talking about her new cop drama Rookie Blue, Missy Peregrym told the New York Daily News: "It would be devastating if we didn't go back for a second season. If I didn't get the opportunity to go back, it would be really hard to let go and do something else."



ABC has renewed the US-Canadian show with mostly Canadian actors, including the sporty Missy Peregrym who is from Vancouver, for a second season. "It's a rare thing to have a female lead on a TV show. I was excited to play a character who was more well-rounded. I got to go deeper with Andy [McNally]," Peregrym says. "She wants to save everybody, but has the hard realization that not everybody wants to be saved."



Missy Peregrym may be popular for her looks and sex appeal, but would like to be taken seriously as an actor, and also be more inspiring to young girls. She tells the New York Daily News: "I don't think there's anything wrong with being beautiful. I'm not saying hide that, I'm saying do it in a tasteful way, not just sexual and baring my body." And as an example she talks of getting mail from girls who'd seen her play a gymnast in Stick It and were inspired to take up the sport. "I can't sell myself to Maxim," Peregrym says, "and turn and tell a young girl you don't have to dress that way to make it."

Lucy Hale fashion

Attractive Lucy Hale from Pretty Little Liars has an eclectic taste in fashion.

She plays a teenager on the hit ABC Family show but Lucy Hale turned 21 this month. Although she's been acting from childhood, Lucy Hale did not set out to become an actress: "I started out singing and didn’t have any interest in acting. I had this manager who suggested I put some auditions on tape. I didn’t want to do it at first. I wanted to sing. Somehow, she talked me into it. I came out to LA, then overnight fell in love with it. Thinking back to when I was 14, I never would have thought I’d like to be an actor, and now I love it even more than singing. It’s really crazy how it worked out."

The show is a combination of Desperate Housewives and Gossip Girl. Talking about her fitness, Lucy Hale told the Examiner: "I’ve recently started working with a trainer that I really love. I work with her a few times a week. I also love Pilates and running. I try to work out as often as I can, depending on my schedule. I got a maltipoo dog for Christmas, so I’m always at the Canyon’s hiking." Lucy tells Pixie magazine that her favorite health foods are hummus and sushi, and that she can't stand cheese: "I'm one of the few people on the planet who doesn't eat pizza, because I hate cheese."

Girly cute actress Ellen Page mingles with fans at the Paris premiere of her new movie Inception, looking cool in a Helmut Lang skull print dress from the Spring/Summer 2010 collection.

In an interview with the Guardian, Ellen Page talked about the pressure on women to look good all the time: "The fact is, young girls are bombarded by advertisements and magazines full of delusional expectations that encourage people to like themselves less and then they want to buy more things. It is really sad and it encourages the consumerist cycle. Boys used to have it slightly easier but I think they are now getting more of the same kind of pressure. On Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan is dressed casual. Here the British soap star seen last month mixing denim short shorts with a cute striped tee, nude sandals, and a Neon Plasteramic pink watch. "I'm actually not sexy. I don't wear make-up, I live in tracksuits and most of the time I look an absolute mess. I'm not the sort of person who gets glammed up to go to the shops or puts make-up on when I get up. One thing is for sure - you won't see me stripping off for the lads' magazines." But when Michelle Keegan strips down to bikinis or short shorts, people always comment on her fake tan.



That tan is part natural because of Michelle Keegan's ethnic mix. People always wonder if she has some Mediterranean blood, and Keegan herself tells OK magazine (above photo): "People speak to me in Italian and I don't understand a word!" In fact her grandmother Beth is from Gibraltar in Spain. As for her beauty tip when on holiday, Michelle tells Icon Ibiza, "My Grandma is Spanish, so I'm quite dark skinned anyway – I don't tend to burn. I also use Kérastase leave-in conditioner for my hair, lip balm, Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream and Clarins moisturiser. Make-up-wise, it’s just tinted moisturiser, bronzer, mascara and a bit of lip gloss. You want to look more fresh on holiday, not caked in make-up."

Actress Keke Palmer is popular with kids, because she has her own TV show, she can sing, she promotes affordable clothes, and because she's so cute!



Keke Palmer gets skating lessons from skater Ryan Sheckler in Bob Magazine, February 2009 issue. Her TV show, True Jackson VP, is set in New York City and Keke Palmer plays True Jackson, a teen who becomes vice president of youth apparel at a fashion company called Mad Style. "She's a lot like me. She's persistent and hardworking and doing an adult job at a young age."

At the 2010 BET Awards Keke Palmer won the YoungStars Award. "I can't go anywhere with kids around," Keke Palmer told USA Today of her increasing popularity because of the TV show. "It's so sweet and it's so cool. All the (movies) I've done before,(kids) may have seen, but it was something that they couldn't comprehend because it wasn't aimed for them." Palmer teamed up with Wal-Mart to create an affordable fashion line called "Mad Style by True Jackson" for her female tween fans. Keke told Scholastic Math; "It surprises me sometimes how many different combinations you can make by mixing shoes, hats, purses, jewelry and all that. When I mix and match a good outfit from scratch, everybody's like, 'Whoa!'"

Selena Gomez French holiday

Selena Gomez featured in the July 2010 issue of Cleo Magazine. She spoke to the magazine about getting her high school diploma in May, and how her favorite subject was science. And on her relations with fellow Disney girl Demi Lovato Selena said: "She's my best friend. We did Barney together and we're from Texas. It's just so nice to have someone to go through all of this madness with." Gomez has been hanging out in France on a working holiday this summer:

Selena Gomez took time off from shooting the movie and went shopping at the Galeries Lafayette in Paris, seen here trying on a fragrance. This month Gomez will turn 18 (July 22) and her new movie Ramona and Beezus will hit theaters.
