The Dutch-Chinese Kristen Kreuk grew up in Canada and got her first TV role in Edgemont while she was studying in her Vancouver high school. Kreuk also played Lana Lang on the hit TV show Smallville. She grew up learning Karate and doing gymnastics, and now keeps in shape with yoga and walking.
The actress is very passionate about energy conservation and sustainable living, telling BC Hydro that she keeps her showers short, turns off unnecessary lights and has replaced incandescent light bulbs with energy efficient CFLs or LEDs. Kristin Kreuk's favorite green thing, which also keeps her fit, is to walk instead of drive in her home city of Vancouver. "I live in such a beautiful city with so much greenery that after my travels I now realize is so incredibly rare and precious."
Kristin Kreuk poses for Men's Fitness magazine. She is intensely private about her personal life and says, "I'm much more interested in developing deep relationships with people than anything else. Physicality is not necessarily an aspect of that. In fact, it's completely irrelevant."
According to Kristin Kreuk a perfect date should have just three simple things: "great conversation, laughter, and a glass of wine."
