Lately the actress from TV's Veronica Mars and Heroes, and movies like Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Couples Retreat, has been partial to wearing black dresses to parties and events:

She and Robert Verdi gave three disadvantaged ladies makeovers on behalf of Marshalls. Dress for Success is a non-profit that gives needy women business attire along with job coaching and training. Kristen Bell said, "I have a very lucky profession that I get to work with people that have amazing fashion backgrounds, and I get help all the time. That's kind of why I think it's so important—because I know how that makes me feel—to share with other women, because it really can change you from your darkest day to your happiest day when you put something on and you feel confident. It changes your whole attitude."
