Diane also said that in Catholic school she got her first job......of being a professional griever at age eight. "It was the worst job anyone could think of. You would stand there, with people crying and weeping, and walk in front of the coffin. Once they were buried, the priest would come up to you and hand you five Deutschmarks."

Diane says that modeling was an important change in her life, till then regimented by Catholic school: "In the beginning it gave me a lot of confidence because truly that was the first time anyone had ever said to me, 'We like you for what you look like.' That may sound superficial but when you're a young girl it actually empowers you to a certain extent."
